We met at the end of 2017 at a friends house for a birthday celebration. Nianna was healing from her broken ankle and was living with a friend in Portland. Nianna's friend was dating Devon's best friend. We were connected and after weeks and a nudge Devon finally called Nianna.

We went on friendly and casual dates for a few months. Our first date was a little neighborhood sushi place. We enjoyed each other's company. We trusted one another and we could be ourselves completely. Our first more formal date was at an Argentinean stake house where we spoke about our hopes for the future and our intentions for a life long partner, family, and commitment.

Devon followed Nianna on a few international adventures and officially fell we in love in Croatia. Over the months things heated up and though there were challenges like any relationship there was also a willingness to grow deeper and more connected in love.

In 2020 we welcomed our son Owen and together with Devon's daughter Ruby we became a family in our own unique way. We bought a home together in 2021 and in 2023 we decided it was time to solidify our bond through the ceremony of marriage.
